Fuzzy Friends is a no-kill, nonprofit organization with a singular mission: to rescue, care for, and rehome large breed dogs. Since our founding, we have dedicated ourselves to providing these wonderful animals with the love, care, and attention they deserve while they await their forever homes.
Many of the dogs we rescue come from difficult circumstances, whether it’s abandonment, homelessness, or owners who can no longer care for them. Our compassionate team steps in to give these dogs a second chance at a better life.
At Fuzzy Friends, we focus on rescuing large breed dogs, often the most overlooked in shelters. By doing so, we aim to raise awareness and provide a lifeline to these loyal companions who need it the most.
At Fuzzy Friends, our work extends beyond simply rescuing dogs. We provide a range of services to support both the dogs in our care and the broader community, including:
We take in large breed dogs from all backgrounds, ensuring they receive medical care, grooming, and the love they need to thrive.
We prioritize spaying and neutering all dogs in our program to promote responsible pet ownership and reduce the stray population.
Finding a perfect match is key. We work closely with prospective adopters to ensure each dog is placed in a loving home.
We offer resources and assistance to individuals experiencing housing challenges who want to keep their pets safe and cared for.
Fuzzy Friends is proud to offer a judgment-free drop-off program for pet owners who, due to circumstances beyond their control, can no longer care for their large breed dog. Whether due to financial hardship, housing instability, or personal reasons, we welcome any dog in need of a new home, ensuring they receive the care and respect they deserve.
As an integral part of the local community, Fuzzy Friends goes beyond just rescuing dogs. We host adoption events, raffles, and fundraisers at local malls, parks, and other venues to promote awareness and get our dogs in front of potential adopters.
We also partner with local organizations and explore opportunities to collaborate with sporting events to bring more attention to our cause.
